After a 15 month battle with pancreatic cancer, we laid my father in law to rest yesterday. The service was exactly what he had wanted with the addition of a slide show of pictures with him with his family through the years, and everything went beautifully. Although I had cooked heavy appetizers for the family reception at my house afterwards, really very little was eaten, so we snacked on that for dinner and enjoyed the lasagna made by my friend Stephanie.
